In all likelihood, I don't expect Jigen/Goemon/Fujiko to play too big of a part in this. The cast will get a little too big otherwise, but I'd still love it.
Some people on the DCTP forums mentioned bringing Kaitou Kid in (who, for those not-in-the-know, is a high-school version of Lupin in the Conan universe, but also had his own short-lived manga series before Gosho started Conan), and I couldn't disagree more. Kid is already a copy of Lupin, after all.

I confess I'm not anywhere near as familiar with the Detective Conan series as I am with Lupin, but given Lupin's history of turning Pops to fight common enemies, my money is on him doing the same with Conan. Only with Conan being so much more on the ball than they usually let Zenigata be, I'm betting Lupin will be thrown a bunch of curves in the process. Additional thought: you think Lupin will figure out something about Conan's real identity? ("Say, that 'kid' hanging out with that dumb detective is a heck of a lot smarter than many adults I know ... interesting ...") Won't be the first time Lupin has interacted with a super-genius kid (Liberty Crisis). Ah, speculation! One of my favorite fangeek activities!  |

Not to sound like a total dick or anything. But I want to see Pops play a large role in the film, I honestly want to see being pulled of the Lupin case (Again) and be put in charge of the Kaito kid case. |
